Ridge Girls win 4th straight MOC 4×800 title!

The Girl’s team capped the season in state by wining their 4th consecutive 4×800 meter relay title in the NJSIAA Meet of Champions.  Meghan Convery, Olivia Cicchetti, Morgan Lyons and Kaitlyn Van Baalen ran 9:03.19 for the 2nd fastest time in MOC history and the fastest for Ridge in this meet.  Second place was 14 seconds behind.

Sophomore Manon Stephen placed 4th overall in the 3200 meter run.  Her time of 10:46.26 is the 2nd fastest in school history.  This was her first season of spring Track & Field.

Three other athletes qualified and competed well to make Ridge proud at the meet.

Freshmen Jennifer Hodges competed in High Jump.  The opening height was 5’2″ which Jen had previously cleared as her PR in the Group meet to advance to the MOC meet.

Senior Liz McDonnell threw the Javelin 109’1″ to cap off a strong senior year with a previous PR of 113’1″ and a new school record during the state section meet.

Sophomore Joy Osborne cleared a new PR of 5’6″ in High Jump just missing a medal on misses which was good for 10th.  Joy did however qualify and will jump at Nationals this weekend in North Carolina.
