Ridge won both the Girls and Boys Varsity, JV and Boys Freshmen races at the Somerset County Championships this past Friday at Pleasant Valley Park.
The Boys Varsity won for the first time since 2010. The Girls Varsity won their third straight title.
Junior Manon Stephen lead the girl’s team with a 2nd place finish. Her time of 18:34 is second on the Ridge All Time list. That was the first time she ever raced at PVP.
Senior James Glockenmeier took 2nd for the boys team in 16:30 to lead a 2-5-8-9-13 finish.
In JV races Sophomore Sonia Goya lead Ridge with a 21:02 as the girl’s took the top 6 places. Junior Jake Vicente took 1st place in the boys JV race in 17:54 as Ridge packed 5 in the top 9 places.
In Freshmen 2 mile races Grace LaCapra ran 13:20 to win the Girl’s competition. The Freshmen boys took 1st place on a 6th man tie breaker. Hudson Yu was the top Ridge finisher in 12:02.
