The Ridge Girl’s team won their 5th straight and 7th overall State Sectional Championship on Friday at the Bennett Center in Toms River. Nine athletes advanced to the Group 4 Championships in seven of ten events. Seven Ridge freshmen competed of which two advanced (Jennifer Hodges HJ and Morgan Lyons 400, 800, 4×400). Ridge Senior Kaitlyn Van Baalen was an Individual winner in the 1600 meter run while Sophomore Joy Osborne won the High Jump. Ridge also won the 4×400 meter relay to close out the night with the team of Morgan Lyons, Olivia Cicchetti, Meghan Convery and Kaitlyn Van Baalen.
